Why We Started Handy Huey: Serving our GA and SC Neighbors
Handy Huey was started with a simple goal: to serve our neighbors in Northeast Georgia and Upstate South Carolina with honesty and a servant’s heart. We aren’t a giant franchise with a fleet of trucks; we’re a local, family-owned business that believes home maintenance is a form of stewardship. To us, being a Christian business means more than just a label, it means doing the right thing even when no one is looking and treating your home with the same respect we’d give our own.
We intentionally chose to specialize in professional pressure washing and expert assembly because we saw too many homeowners overwhelmed by these specific, time-consuming tasks. Whether we’re getting years of Georgia red clay off your siding or making sure a new backyard playset is sturdy and safe for your kids, we focus on the details that matter. We don’t believe in ‘good enough’; we believe in work that honors the Lord and makes life easier for your family.
For us, this isn’t just about checking a task off a list, it’s about building a relationship you can count on year after year. Meet Our Team
Matthew Huey
Matthew is the founder and owner of HandyHuey LLC. He is passionate about problem-solving, working hard, and getting the job done right. He excells at pressure washing and furniture assembly, and his clients are always happy with the results.
Matthew has been involved with handyman projects for years now, including three years of experience at a glass company. He has restored stairs, assembled playgrounds, mounted oversized televisions, installed ceiling fans, pressure washed decks, and worked on a multitude of other projects.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and children, doing projects around his own home, and spending time with his church family.
Darcy Huey
Darcy is our Director of Operations. When you call us, she is most likely the team member who you will be speaking with! She handles all of our behind-the-scenes operations, from customer service to scheduling to marketing.
Darcy has always enjoyed working in customer service roles. She is passionate about making sure that each and every HandyHuey client has the best experience possible with our company.
Outside of work, Darcy loves to spend time with her husband children, try out new recipes in the kitchen, and listen to music on her record player.
